Doing good.
To quote your Grandma's classic phrase - treat others as you’d like to be treated yourself. We feel the same about the planet and we like to think that kindness comes as second nature to us. With that we hold ourselves accountable to be kind to the natural world we all rely on. And in ensuring Bloom and Blossom is around for the long-term, we’re committed to being a sustainable business. For us, sustainability is focused on three key areas:
1. Our packaging
2. Helping others
3. Being a great place to work
This is our sustainability promise, and by putting it out here on paper (well, screen), you can hold us accountable too. There’s still challenges we can’t tackle alone, but we’ll do our best to make a difference where we can.
Packaging
We commit to a product line in 100% recycled plastic by 2021
We target 50% of sold packaging to be recycled by 2020
We’ve made some great progress on this already. Our 500ml bottles are made from 100% recycled plastic and are 100% recyclable, including the pumps. Plastic pumps are notoriously hard to recycle so we’re super proud we’ve managed to produce a recyclable pump. Yes, being made from 100% recycled plastic means the bottles are grey on the outside, but they are full of joy on the inside.
We’ll only use FSC certified card on our product cartons and our plastic bottles in the rest of our range are widely recycled.
Production
We are proudly British, and even prouder to produce all of our products here in the UK, keeping our carbon footprint as low as possible and supporting local economies.
It’s our dream to one day own our own rose field so we can produce our own rose flower water right here in the UK too. We’re all about natural ingredients and can talk about them until the cows come home - so if you’re interested, find out more here.
Being kind.
At Bloom and Blossom our sole purpose is to help families thrive. And as a responsible business, our goal is to give back.
We continue to work with our partners at The Beauty Banks and Baby Banks to get products and essentials to those most in need. We hope that our range of initiatives will help ensure even more disadvantaged children and their families across the UK receive much needed help and support. We know we can always do better, everyone can always do bette and as a family business we are here to do good and are always looking to find other ways we can help.
The dream team
We are proud of our local, diverse team and continue to commit to offer a flexible working environment that supports working parents and family life.
We’re sisters-in-law, best friends, business partners. And we’re here to help you and your family get your best night’s sleep.
